About Oenopia conglobata (Linnaeus, 1758)

This species, scientifically named Oenopia conglobata (Linnaeus, 1758), has adult beetles that are 3.5 to 5 mm long, with oval, slightly curved bodies. The elytra are most commonly light pink, and more rarely range from red to pale yellow. There is a black streak along the inner edges of the elytra, which bear eight square black spots that vary in size, and sometimes flow into one another. Completely black specimens also exist. The pronotum is light beige, and carries seven black spots arranged symmetrically. The head is black and white. The antennae are yellow, but are slightly darker in color at the end; the legs are yellow brown.
