Oecanthus mhatreae, commonly called the Otomí tree cricket, is a species of tree cricket belonging to the family Gryllidae. This species is found in Querétaro, Mexico. Its common name is derived from the indigenous Otomi people, who are native to the Mexican Plateau region. The species was given its scientific name to honor Natasha Mhatre, a well-known Indian biologist and professor at the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
