The wedge-rumped storm petrel is a species of storm petrel. Its currently accepted scientific name is Hydrobates tethys, and it was previously classified under the scientific name Oceanodroma tethys (Bonaparte, 1852).
Breeding Range
This species breeds in the Galápagos Islands and along the coast of Peru.
Genus Reclassification
It was formerly placed in the genus Oceanodroma, before this genus was synonymized with the genus Hydrobates.
