An oblique post-medial band of five white spots is present. The hindwings are white with a broad marginal brown band that has an irregularly curved inner edge. The larva is dull reddish, with a dorsal and two lateral series of radiating tufts of fine black hairs that arise from black tubercles. The first somite has two long forwardly projecting tufts.
