Nyctemera adversata, commonly known as the marbled white moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. It was first formally described by Johann Gottlieb Schaller in 1788. This species is distributed across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Myanmar, multiple regions of China including Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Hainan, Guangxi, Hunan, Henan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Taiwan, the northern part of Honshu Island in Japan, Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia (covering Sumatra, Java, and Borneo), and the Philippines. Nyctemera adversata is a day-flying moth species. Its larvae feed on plant species from the genera Erechtites, Erigeron, Gynura, Picris, and Senecio.
