About Notocrypta paralysos (Wood-Mason & de Nicéville, 1881)
This description covers both male and female individuals of Notocrypta paralysos. The species is very similar to Notocrypta feisthamelii, but its wings are somewhat shorter and broader. The post-medial white band of the forewing is very similar on both the upper and lower sides compared to N. feisthamelii. However, N. paralysos has a small white spot opposite the cell end, towards the outer margin, and has no sub-apical dots. On the underside of the hindwing, there is a small white spot inside the end of the cell, and another small white spot below it, placed nearly halfway between the cell end spot and the outer margin. N. paralysos also has a white mark on each side of the face.
