Notiophilus rufipes, commonly known as the rufus-legged big-eyed beetle, is a species of ground beetle first formally described by Curtis in 1829. It is native to the Palearctic region and the Near East, and has been introduced to the United States, with recorded observations in the state of Georgia. This species can be found in mixed forests, particularly along forest edges, as well as in vineyards and fruit tree orchards.
