The large niltava, scientifically named Niltava grandis (Blyth, 1842), is a species of bird that belongs to Muscicapidae, the Old World flycatcher family. It can be found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. The species' natural habitat is subtropical or tropical montane forests.
