Nessaea hewitsonii (Felder, 1859), commonly called Hewitson's olivewing, is a butterfly species that belongs to the family Nymphalidae. This species is common across a large portion of the Amazon basin, including the eastern slopes of the Andes mountain range. It occurs in three types of forest habitat: high evergreen tropical forest, semi-deciduous tropical forest, and riverine forest. Male individuals of this species have forewing lengths ranging from 33 to 40 mm, while female individuals have forewing lengths ranging from 36 to 41 mm.
