Scientific name: Neottia borealis (Morong) Szlach. Also known by the scientific synonym Listera borealis, this species of terrestrial orchid is commonly called the northern twayblade. It is native to North America. It is widespread across most of Canada, including Canada's three Arctic territories, and also grows in the mountain regions of the western United States, ranging from Alaska to northern New Mexico.
