Neonotonia wightii, commonly called perennial soybean, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Fabaceae family. It is native to sub‑Saharan Africa, Yemen, India, and Sri Lanka. It has been widely introduced as a forage crop to Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, northern Argentina, the Mascarene Islands, Peninsular Malaysia, Java, New Guinea, Queensland and New South Wales in Australia, and Fiji. This species is shade tolerant.
