About Neomyrtus pedunculata (Hook.fil.) Allan

Neomyrtus is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. This genus was first formally described in 1941. Only one species is known to belong to the Neomyrtus genus: Neomyrtus pedunculata. This species is endemic to New Zealand, meaning it grows naturally nowhere else in the world outside of this country. Within New Zealand, Neomyrtus pedunculata can be found growing on both the North Island and the South Island.
