About Nastra julia (Freeman, 1944)

Nastra julia, commonly known as Julia's skipper, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Hesperiidae. This species is distributed in North America, ranging from southern Texas to central Mexico. The wingspan of adult Nastra julia measures 24 to 29 mm. In southern Texas, adults are active year-round, while across the remaining part of their range, they are on wing from April to October. The larvae of this species feed on Cynodon dactylon, and adult Nastra julia feed on flower nectar.
