About Nacoleia mesochlora Meyrick, 1884
Nacoleia mesochlora is a species of moth in the family Crambidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1884. This species is found in Australia, with confirmed records from Queensland, the Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. It has a wingspan ranging from 14 to 16 mm. Its forewings are pale dull whitish ochreous. The first forewing line is straight, thick, and blackish, running from one-third of the costa to two-fifths of the inner margin. The basal area extending up to this line is rather dark fuscous. The second forewing line is thick and blackish, running from three-fourths of the costa to beyond the middle of the inner margin. The hind-marginal area beyond this second line is rather dark fuscous. There is a cloudy fuscous discal spot on the forewings, plus three small semicircular blackish-fuscous centred marks on the costa between the first and second lines. The hindwings are pale ochreous yellow, marked with a broad, rather dark fuscous hind-marginal band.
