About Mythimna reversa (Moore, 1884)
Mythimna reversa is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae, first formally described by Frederic Moore in 1884. Its distribution includes the Indian subregion, Sri Lanka, Borneo, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Australia. Adult individuals of this species have a wingspan of 4 cm. The forewings are pinkish brown and marked with patterned dark lines; a pale line runs from the wingtip to near the middle of the hindmargin, and the reniform and orbicular spots are distinctly paler than surrounding areas. The hindwings are pale grey with darker colored margins. The known larval food plants of Mythimna reversa include various grasses, such as Paspalum.
