About Myristica globosa Warb.

Myristica globosa Warb. is a plant species belonging to the family Myristicaceae. It occurs in parts of Melanesia and Australia. Two subspecies of this species are currently recognized. Myristica globosa subsp. chalmersii (Warb.) W.J.de Wilde is distributed in New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago, and the Solomon Islands. Myristica globosa subsp. muelleri (Warb.) W.J.de Wilde, commonly called Queensland nutmeg, is found in Queensland and the Solomon Islands.
