About Mycena mariae G.Stev.

Mycena mariae mushrooms can be distinguished by their dark red pigment and large, elongated spores. The tissues of M. mariae are more pseudoamyloid than those of similar species, such as Mycena morris-jonesii. This mushroom has a small pink to red cap, with gills located underneath the cap. Its stipe is hollow and darker at the base. Mycena mariae mushrooms are typically found growing in litter under the canopy of mixed podocarp forests.
