About Muscinupta laevis (Fr.) Redhead, Lücking & Lawrey

Muscinupta is a fungal genus that produces small, white, delicate fan-shaped to cup-shaped fruit bodies that grow on mosses. This genus is monotypic, meaning it contains only one single species: Muscinupta laevis. This type species is more widely known by the previous name Cyphellostereum laeve, but the genus Cyphellostereum is actually a basidiolichen, not this fungus.
