Montia linearis (Douglas ex Hook.) Greene is a slender, branching annual herb that reaches a maximum height of around 25 to 30 centimeters. Its somewhat fleshy, linear-shaped leaves are alternately arranged, and can grow up to 10 centimeters long. The inflorescence holds up to 14 flowers, which have curved oval green sepals at their bases. The flower petals are roughly half a centimeter long, and range in color from white to pink-tinged.
