Small hemispheric flower heads form in inflorescences at the tips of stem branches. The golden ray florets, which measure 1 to 2 centimeters long, have three-lobed tips, and they surround a central cluster of numerous disc florets. This species produces a rough-haired achene as its fruit, which is 2 to 4 millimeters long.
