Monardella linoides A.Gray is a gray-green perennial herb that grows a slender, erect stem reaching a maximum height of around 50 centimeters. Its leaves range in shape from linear to oval, measure 1 to 4 centimeters long, and are covered in grayish hairs. Its inflorescence forms a cluster of several flowers, held in a cup of pale whitish or pink-tinged papery bracts that measure 2 or 3 centimeters wide. The flowers are just over one centimeter long and light purple in color.
