About Monardella exilis (A.Gray) Greene

Monardella exilis (A.Gray) Greene is an annual herb that grows 6 to 30 centimetres (2.4 to 11.8 inches) tall. It produces white flowers, with floral structures that are green with purple tints, and its blooming season runs from April to September. This plant is endemic to California, where it occurs in the Mojave Desert and the southern Sierra Nevada. It grows at elevations between 600 and 2,100 metres (2,000 and 6,900 feet). In the Antelope Valley, it is found in desert scrub and Joshua tree woodland habitats. In the southern Sierra Nevada, it additionally occurs in pinyon pine (Pinus monophylla) woodlands.
