About Milla biflora Cav.
Milla biflora Cav., commonly known as Mexican star, is a species of flowering plant. It is native to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, and grows at elevations between 1,000โ2,700 m (3,300โ8,900 ft). It is a perennial plant that grows from a corm measuring 1โ2 cm (0.4โ0.8 in) across, and flowers in the summer. Inflorescences holding 1โ9 white flowers develop on scapes that are 4โ55 cm (1.6โ21.7 in) long. Plants produce 2โ10 narrow leaves; each leaf is 1 mm (0.04 in) wide, and ranges from half to the full length of the scape. Its fruits are ovoid capsules that are 1.5โ2 cm (0.6โ0.8 in) long.
