About Micranthes pensylvanica (L.) Haw.
The scientific name of this plant is Micranthes pensylvanica (L.) Haw. Micranthes pensylvanica produces small clusters of flowers with yellow petals and orange stamens arranged around a green ovary. Its flowers bloom in early summer, from May to June. The plant grows between 12 and 40 inches tall. Micranthes pensylvanica is not considered an endangered species overall, though it is rare in several of its native U.S. states, including Indiana.
