Metarranthis obfirmaria, commonly known as the yellow-washed metarranthis, is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae. This species is distributed in eastern North America, with its range extending from Nova Scotia and southern Canada in the north down to Georgia in the south, and westward as far as Kansas. The wingspan of adult yellow-washed metarranthis moths measures 26 to 36 millimeters. Adult moths are active in flight from late April through July. The larvae of this moth feed on plant species from the genera Vaccinium, Prunus, and Quercus.
