Metardaris is a Neotropical genus of firetips belonging to the skipper butterfly family, Hesperiidae. This genus is monotypic, meaning it contains only one species: Metardaris cosinga, which was first described by Hewitson in 1874. The species is found in Bolivia and Peru. In Peru, local people refer to the larvae of M. cosinga as Huaytampo, and consider these larvae a delicacy.
