Metacyrba taeniola is a species of jumping spider that belongs to the family Salticidae. Adult males of this species reach a body length of 4.4โ€“6.0 millimeters (0.17โ€“0.24 inches), while adult females grow larger, reaching a body length of 5.0โ€“7.2 millimeters (0.20โ€“0.28 inches). Compared to closely related species like Metacyrba floridana and Metacyrba punctata, M. taeniola can be distinguished by two features: its larger overall body size, and its relatively broader carapace, which is approximately 70% as wide as it is long.
