About Mesogona oxalina (Hübner)

Mesogona oxalina (Hübner) is a moth species that belongs to the family Noctuidae. This species is distributed across southern and central Europe, with its range extending north to Fennoscandia, east to the Baltic States and Russia (reaching as far as the Ural Mountains), and south to the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, and Greece. The wingspan of adult Mesogona oxalina measures between 34 and 39 millimeters. Depending on the location, adults are active in flight from August to September each year. The larvae of this moth feed on species from the genera Alnus, Populus, Prunus, and Salix.
