Mellilla is a monotypic genus of moths belonging to the family Geometridae. It was erected by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1873. The genus contains only one species, Mellilla xanthometata, commonly known as the orangewing moth. This species was first described by Francis Walker in 1862. The orangewing moth is found across most of eastern North America. It has a wingspan of approximately 16 to 21 millimeters. Adults have two generations per year, and have been recorded flying in early spring and again in late June. Adult moths are active both during the day and at night. The larvae of Mellilla xanthometata feed on Gleditsia triacanthos.
