About Melampsora pulcherrima Maire
Melampsora pulcherrima Maire is a Mediterranean plant pathogenic rust fungus. It infects two host plants: it infects Mercurialis annua during winter, producing galls, pycnia, and aecia across the leaves and stem. These infections appear as golden yellow swellings that can reach several centimeters in size. It also infects Populus alba, causing uredia and telia to form on the leaves from spring through autumn.
