Females of Megachile texana measure between 11 and 13 mm (0.43 and 0.51 inches) long, while males measure between 10 and 12 mm (0.39 and 0.47 inches) long. Its head and thorax are covered in short, dense whitish hair. Its wings are semi-transparent, with black veins. Its abdomen has alternating black and yellowish-white bands.
