About Medicago littoralis Rohde ex Loisel.

Medicago littoralis Rohde ex Loisel. is a prostrate or procumbent herb, which occasionally grows with an ascending habit. This species has been introduced to Belgium, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the U.S. states of Florida and New Jersey, and parts of Australia. It is naturalised in South Australia, and is classified as an alien but non-invasive species in Western Australia. A specially bred variety of M. littoralis called 'Seraph' has been selected for its resistance to powdery mildew and its tolerance of sulfonylurea herbicide residues for agricultural use.
