Mecardonia procumbens (Mill.) Small, also called yellow-flowered waterhyssop and commonly known as baby jump-up, is an herb that can be either annual or perennial. It is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. The species has become widely distributed across warmer regions of the world, and is now naturalized on every continent except Antarctica. It is also naturalized on most islands that have climates suitable for its growth.
