About Marina parryi (Torr. & A.Gray) Barneby
Marina parryi is a species of flowering plant in the legume family, with the common name Parry's false prairie-clover. It is native to the deserts of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. This perennial herb grows stiff, branching stems that reach 20 to 80 centimeters in length. The entire plant is covered in glands and rough hairs. Its leaves are composed of several pairs of small oval leaflets, each no longer than 6 millimeters. The inflorescence takes the form of a raceme holding deep blue and white bicolored flowers, each less than a centimeter long. Its fruit is a legume pod that holds a single seed.
