About Mammillaria nivosa Link ex Pfeiff.

Mammillaria nivosa Link ex Pfeiff. is a radially symmetrical cactus that can reach up to 25 cm (9.8 in) in height. Its spines grow to around 38 mm (1.5 in) long, and they often overlap. This overlapping is thought to make it harder for large organisms to reach the cactus's fleshy tissue. The species produces yellow flowers that measure approximately 15 mm (0.59 in) in length.
