About Malvaviscus penduliflorus Moc. & Sessé ex DC.
Malvaviscus penduliflorus Moc. & Sessé ex DC. is a perennial shrub that can grow to between 3 and 4 meters (9.8 to 13.1 feet) tall. It produces red hanging tubular flowers with protruding stamens. Its leaves are pointed and oval-shaped, and its stems are covered in hairs. Like other species in the Malvaviscus genus, M. penduliflorus produces sap and small red fruits.
