About Malacothamnus davidsonii (B.L.Rob.) Greene

Scientific name: Malacothamnus davidsonii (B.L.Rob.) Greene. For identification: Malacothamnus discombobulatus and M. davidsonii are typically separated from all other species in the genus Malacothamnus by a combination of four features: relatively short calyx bracts, relatively long stellate trichome rays, often a relatively large size when the plant is fully grown, and a relatively late blooming period. Malacothamnus discombobulatus and M. davidsonii are most easily told apart from each other by their geographic ranges.
