Macrochilo cribrumalis, commonly known as the dotted fan-foot, is a litter moth belonging to the family Erebidae. Jacob Hübner first described this species in 1793. This moth is found in Europe. Its base ground color is whitish fawn, and the forewings feature two dotted crosslines. The moth has a wingspan ranging from 27 to 30 mm, and its forewings measure 13 to 14 mm in length. It produces one generation per year, with adults flying from late May to August. The larvae feed on a variety of Cyperaceae species including Carex sylvatica, as well as grasses and Luzula campestris.
