This species is distributed across the Chagos Archipelago, Sumatra, China, Taiwan, Mayotte, Réunion, Sri Lanka, and Australia; in Australia, it has been recorded specifically in Queensland. The forewings of Mabra eryxalis are yellow, marked with multiple dark lines and a dark smudge.
