Lysimachia quadriflora Sims is an erect, branched forb that reaches a maximum height of about 2 feet (0.61 meters). This species grows in moist to wet conditions in calcareous soils. Its leaves are linear, firm, and have mostly smooth edges. Flowers develop from inflorescence clusters at the tips of stems and branches. The five-petaled flowers are yellow with a reddish center, and blooming occurs from July to August. Habitats for this species include wet meadows, prairies, fields, swamps, and marshes.
