Lygephila viciae (originally described by Hübner in 1822) is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. This moth can be found across most of Europe. It has a wingspan measuring between 35 and 36 millimeters. Depending on the location it inhabits, the species produces two generations each year. Adult moths are active in flight from May through September. The larvae of this species feed on plant species from the genera Astragalus, Coronilla, Lathyrus, Polygonum and Melilotus.
