Lycomorpha pholus, commonly known as the black-and-yellow lichen moth, is a species of moth belonging to the family Erebidae. This species is distributed across North America, ranging from Nova Scotia to North Carolina, and extending westward to South Dakota and Texas. Its native habitat is short-grass prairie. The wingspan of adult moths measures between 25 and 32 mm. The larvae of Lycomorpha pholus feed on lichens, and they resemble the lichen hosts they feed on.
