About Lycia pomonaria (Hübner, 1790)

Lycia pomonaria (Hübner, 1790) is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. Its distribution ranges across central and northern Europe, extending through Siberia to the Kamchatka Peninsula. Male individuals of this species have a wingspan of 30 to 35 mm, while females are wingless. Winged adult males are active in flight from April to June each year. The species produces one new generation per year. Its larvae feed primarily on plants of the genus Betula, and also consume other deciduous trees and species of the genus Vaccinium.
