Luzula forsteri, commonly called southern wood-rush, is a perennial plant species belonging to the Juncaceae family. It is native to Europe, North Africa, and western Asia. There is a documented record of this species being collected in Salem, Oregon in 1910. The species was named in honor of Edward Forster the Younger, who lived from 1765 to 1849.
