Ludwigia helminthorrhiza (Mart.) H.Hara, commonly called floating Ludwigia, was originally described under the synonyms Jussiaea natans Bonpl. and Jussiaea helminthorrhiza C. Martius. It is a herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to the family Onagraceae. This species is native to south Mexico, Colombia, and South America, and it grows in wet, swampy habitats.
