About Lophostethus dumolinii Angas, 1849
Lophostethus dumolinii Angas, 1849 is a moth species belonging to the family Sphingidae. It occurs across most habitats throughout the Ethiopian Region, with the exception of deserts, high mountains, Madagascar, and the Cape region of South Africa. For males, the forewing length measures 55–70 mm, while for females it measures 70–75 mm. The species has a total wingspan of 130–171 mm. The larvae of Lophostethus dumolinii feed on Ficus, Milletia aboensis, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Hibiscus micranthus, Hibiscus panduriformis, Dombeya rotundifolia, Dombeya cymosa, Carissa macrocarpa, Andersonia, Grewia bicolor, and Grewia occidentalis.
