Lon hobomok, commonly known as the Hobomok skipper, is a small butterfly species. It has slim, triangular wings. For males, the upper side of the wings is mostly orange, with dark brown margins. This species ranges from eastern Alberta to Nebraska, and extends eastward to the coasts of Canada and the United States. The Hobomok skipper inhabits a wide variety of environments, including clearings, woodland edges, woodland openings, and areas near roads.
