Lomandra laxa (R.Br.) A.T.Lee is a perennial, rhizomatous herb that occurs in the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland. It was first formally described in 1810 by Robert Brown under the name Xerotes laxa. In 1962, Alma Theodora Lee reclassified the species, transferring it to the genus Lomandra, giving it the current accepted name Lomandra laxa.
