About Logfia californica (Nutt.) Holub

This species, currently accepted as Logfia californica (Nutt.) Holub, was previously known under the synonyms Logfia filaginoides and Filago californica. It has the common names herba impia and cottonrose. It is a small annual plant belonging to the plant family Asteraceae. It is found in the Southwestern United States. Its range extends across the area from Southern California to Texas, and it also grows in Mexico. In the Mojave Desert, it occurs in creosote bush scrub and Joshua tree woodland habitats.
