About Lobocla bifasciatus (Bremer & Grey, 1853)

Scientific name: Lobocla bifasciatus (Bremer & Grey, 1853). This description is taken from Seitz, where it is referenced as L. bifasciata Brem. (84 b). The wings are dull greyish black. The forewing has a transparent white band made up of five spots, which are separated by the veins; this band ends before vein 1. On the underside of the forewing, the area before the three apical spots is greyish lilac. The underside of the hindwing has three bands that are not very prominent, and the outer margin is dusted with lilac grey just before the fringes. This species occurs across the whole of northern Asia, excluding the high northern region; its recorded distribution includes Korea, Amur, and northern China.
